The JPQ makes a return engagement at our favorite club, Egan's Ballard Jam House. Josh and Evan will be along, and we'll be joined by Adam Kessler on drums. Not to be missed!

10.26.07 | Making my debut at Tula's
Tula's is the club to aspire to if you're a Seattle Jazz musician. I will be making my debut there with the Isabella DuGraf Quintet on January 3, 2008. I'm thrilled to playing with Bella's all-star band featuring Darin Clendenon on piano, Clipper Anderson on bass and D'Vonne Lewis on drums. 8p-midnight.

I submitted another track from The Jason Parker Quartet CD to AllAboutJazz.com and it's climbing the charts! "Down", written by Miles Davis, is one of my favorite blues heads, and apparently others like it too, as it currently sits at #3 on the charts.

06.15.07 | Jason Parker Duo begins a residency at Mona's Bistro & Lounge
We're happy to report that the Jason Parker Duo will begin a residency at Mona's Bistro & Lounge! Beginning on July 19 and continuing on the 3rd Thursday of every month, Jason and a piano player will provide the Jazz standards to accompany your night out. Eat, drink, be merry and start the weekend a day early. No cover! See you July 19th at 9pm when Jason will be joined by Ty Bailie.

"The Jason Parker Quartet" is available now! The CD Release Party at Egan's was a blast, and it was great to have so many friends there to help us celebrate. 03.26.07 | JPQ CD Release Party June 1st at Egan's!!
At long last, J&J Music and Broken Time Records are thrilled to announce the release of The Jason Parker Quartet's new CD! The release date is Friday, June 1, 2007, and there will be a CD Release Party that night to celebrate. The party will be at our home-away-from-home, Egan's Ballard Jam House from 7-9:30pm. Please join Jason and his band (Josh Rawlings on piano, Evan Flory-Barnes on bass and D'Vonne Lewis on drums) and help us celebrate this momentous day. We'll play originals and some not-so-standards, and of course will have copies of the brand new CD on hand for you to take home with you. Be sure to make a reservation ASAP, as we will sell-out, and we don't want you to be left out in the cold.

03.19.07 | JPQ CD "The Sweet Spot" almost complete
I'm busy putting the finishing touches on my new CD "The Sweet Spot", due out in May on Broken Time Records. I'm working with Producer/Designer Nate Omdal on the artwork and with Engineer/Mixer Mike Dodge on the mixing. I'll be announcing the date of the CD Release party (to be held at Egan's) later this week, so please check back for details.

02.02.07 | JPQ CD is in the can!
Josh, Evan, D'Vonne and I spent about 4 hours at Embassy Studios yesterday and laid down the 8 tracks that will be my forthcoming CD. I'm so excited to have these great musicians on the record, and look forward to sharing the tunes with you as we mix them down. Please check the music page for samples as early as next week, and look for the CD to be released on Broken Time Records (www.brokentime.com) in late-March. We'll be previewing the new tunes on March 2nd at Egan's, and will have an official CD Release Party sometime in early April.

01.29.07 | The JPQ plays San Francisco!
We've run into some scheduling conflicts with the Octavia Lounge, so our trip south down I-5 has been postponed until June. We'll keep you posted...

01.16.07 | The Jason Parker Quartet set to record at Embassy Studios
The Jason Parker Quartet is excited to be heading into Embassy Studios in Seattle on February 1st. They'll be recording a bunch of originals by Jason, one by pianist Josh Rawlings, and a standard or two. Joining Jason will be Josh Rawlings on piano, Evan Flory-Barnes on bass and D'vonne Lewis on drums. Look for a release date in March, and check back after the 1st for a sneak peak at some of the tracks.

01.15.07 | Sarah Shannon's "City Morning Song" released on February 6th
Sarah Shannon will release her new record February 6th on Minty Fresh Records. I'm honored to be featured on trumpet and flugelhorn. I am no longer joinging Sarah for her West Coast tour in early February, but you should still go see the shows, which kick off at The Triple Door in Seattle on February 7th.
